Have Your Say
We have created a new section on our website 'Have Your Say' where we are asking for your input into our plans. Currently we are asking:
Should we follow a 3-term or 6-term structure?
What should we call our Communities (primary) and Houses (secondary)?
What would you like to see the school offer? Breakfast clubs, Afterschool clubs, Holiday clubs, etc.
Look here for more information.

What have we been up to?
Since the last post, we have:
- Visited one of the best state schools in the UK that offer the International Baccalaureate. They have offered to share best practice with us and support us in opening.
- Spoken to educational consultants to make sure our application is the best it can be.
- Attended a conference from the New Schools Network in London where we managed to talk to some people who will be opening their Free School in 2011.
- Received over 470 registrations of interest to date.
- Been in the Advertiser.
- Been joined by Donna Goult, project manager, who has been hard at work ensuring that we have the right team to see the project to opening in 2012.
- Been reviewing our application to ensure that it is going to maintain essential 'value for money' with public funds and at the same time delivering effective and excellent education for the students in Bournemouth & Poole.
- Found two more potential sites, although more investigations are needed with them.
- Spoken to two local councillors regarding the school. They are very interested in our plans.
The Steering Group is meeting later this week and we will update the blog as soon as we have more news.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
